24 Podcasts are an important part of the programme offer of the news television JOJ 24 and the portal noviny.sk, bringing visually enriched video podcasts with current political, economic, cultural and social topics. Unlike traditional audio podcasts, these video podcasts are created by JOJ TV and JOJ 24 news editors right in the studios. Therefore they reach not only ordinary listeners via audio platforms, but also TV viewers and online users. Among the most successful are Sme v kaviarni (SME in a cafe) – political satire with Arpád Soltész and Petr Tkačenko, JOJ Health with Marcela Fuknova, JOJ History with Veronika Homolová Tóthová, OK podcast with Ondrej Kandráč and LeKár and IMunita (Doctor and Immunity) with Iveta Malachovská and Ladislav Kužel.
In 2024, we added a separate podcast channel Analýzy 24 (Analysis 24) where we publish a show of the same name of JOJ 24 hosted by experienced political editors Lenka Ježová and Lucie Stráňavová. A brand new podcast about medicine, its betrayals and mistakes is called Na lopate (On the shovel). In the podcast,Peter Kováč (a doctor, lawyer and forensic doctor in one person) discusses medicine in the podcast studio with reporters Barbora Jánošová and Marcela Fuknova. At the end of the year, we will launch another podcast channel by JOJ TV reporter and winner of many journalism awards, Rasťa Strišek, under the title Crime Line. It is a true crime podcast where he and prosecutor Ján Šanto discuss and evaluate both well-known and lesser-known Slovak crimes.
